Works For Me Wednesday Cooking with Cast Iron

Ever consider going back to using Cast Iron pots and pans for cooking? I am in the process of doing that. I have a couple cast iron pots-USA made-found at thrift stores. I threw out the teflon. Reports say birds have died from the fumes so they can't be good for us. You can also buy new USA made cast iron pots from Lehmans-but they are pricey. Used ones work just as good and can be found much cheaper. If you can afford it, Lehman's are nice though! There is also Lodge cast iron cookware, made in Tennessee for the past 100 years. Here is a page with tips for handling and caring for your cast iron cookware.
