TerraCycle

TerraCycle is a business that recycles waste and uses it to package Worm tea, deer repellent, worm castings, potting mix, all kinds of stuff that is packaged in bottles, drink pouches, jugs, yogurt containers, cookie wrappers, clif bar wrappers that are bought from YOU. Yup, that's right, you sign up with them and they will mail you a free shipping box and you collect all the stuff you have and mail it back to them. Your favorite charity will get the money thanks to you. They will get two cents a drink pouch or five cents a bottle, and you are helping the environment and helping a great company. Also, it's good for groups to do, like the Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts, school groups, etc. Why not sign up today? It looks like for some of them you have to go on a waiting list at the moment. The cookie one and the drink pouch still have openings though. You can still support this company and buy their products!

They also have a lot of educational videos and good information on gardening help too. Check out
these bags made out of recycled plastic bags and drink pouches. It's a really interesting story about 2 kids who were students at Princeton. One decided to grow worms to improve his "plants in the basement." This product they developed worked so well that they dropped out of school and they further developed it into the business that it is today. The story is a great one! "The company's flagship product, TerraCycle Plant Food™, is an all-natural, all-organic, 'goof-proof' liquid plant food made from waste (worm poop) and packaged in waste (reused soda bottles)!" Go watch the video here. Their products are available in stores all over. Best of all these products have great reviews and they really work!

Go see what works for others: click on the Works for me Wednesday to visit Shannon at Rocks in My Dryer and see all the other blogs participating!
